PayBack (com.techiebravo.payback) is an app by Techie Bravo for remembering money you lend and borrow. This policy explains what happens to your information.
The short version
PayBack works entirely on your device. It does not collect, upload, sell or share any of your data, and it has no internet access at all.
What the app stores, and where
- Your profile: your name, gender and avatar choice.
- Your records: the people you add, their balances, and your transactions (amounts, notes and dates).
- Your security settings: your PIN, stored only as a salted, one-way hash (never the PIN itself), your recovery question with a hashed answer, and whether fingerprint/face unlock is turned on.
All of this is stored privately on your phone, inside the app's own storage. Techie Bravo cannot see it.
Fingerprint and face unlock
If you turn this on, Android's own system prompt checks your fingerprint or face. PayBack only learns whether the check succeeded. It never receives or stores biometric data.
Internet, analytics and ads
PayBack does not request the internet permission. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting services.
Backups
If you have Android's device backup turned on, Android may include your PayBack records in the backup it saves to your Google account, under Google's terms. Your PIN and security settings are always excluded from these backups.
Sharing
Data leaves the app only when you choose to, for example when you share a transaction receipt with another app.
Deleting your data
You can delete any person (with all their transactions) inside the app. Uninstalling PayBack or clearing its storage removes everything.
Children
PayBack is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.
